All for a good cause

FORMER Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand returns to Celtic Park this weekend to lead an All-Star side against Paul McStay’s Maestros in a legends charity game.Rio Newspaper 2

Proceeds from Sunday’s match will be split between the Celtic FC Foundation and the Rio Ferdinand Foundation in support of opportunities for young people in Glasgow and London.

The 35-year-old Queens Park Rangers defender said: “It’s going to be great and the most important thing is that it’s a good cause.

“When I used to collect my Panini stickers, he was the first name I looked for. We also have the likes of Gianfranco Zola and Paul Scholes playing. It’ll be terrific.”
