The Rio Ferdinand Foundation delivers VRQ Level 1 courses for young people in London.

DSC_0006Together with partners through the 5 Star Active network the Rio Ferdinand Foundation has delivered a five week summer activity programme for young people across London.

As part of the summer programme The Rio Ferdinand Foundation delivered theVRQ Level 1 Using Sport to Tackle Youth Crime.

404 Not Found One of the courses took place in the beginning of September at the TNG (The New Generation) Youth Centre in Sydenham for young people on the Mayor’s NEET Programme.IMG_2629

The course was delivered to 15 young people – all aged 16+
who, as a part of the course, volunteered on sessions at TNG Youth Centre.

“I learned lots of new skills on this course,” Said a young person who participated on the course. “I have always wanted to work with young people and this course has given me the confidence to volunteer in my local area.IMG_2758

The Rio Ferdinand Foundation will continue to deliver VRQ level 1 & 2 courses in Southwark and Lewisham to inspire and enable young people to reach their potential by providing education and employment pathways.
