RFF Celebrates International Youth Day in style!
International Youth Day is celebrated on the 12th of August each year to highlight the efforts of the world’s youth in enhancing global society. It aims to promote ways to engage young people and to encourage them to become more actively involved in making positive contributions to their communities.
The Rio Ferdinand Foundation is pleased to be part of the fourth Youth Day in Salford and after the success of last year we are looking forward to another great year celebrating the young people of our community. Last year, young people from the Rio Ferdinand Foundation’s projects performed at the Salford Youth Day’s celebration party.
Not FoundThis film was made by students from the University of Manchester – to highlight the important female empowerment work being done by the Foundation with young women in Salford.
The image featured in the flyer bellow, entitled Love, was taken by Imane as part of the Foundations photography workshops and is a great example of some of the art and photography you will be able to enjoy at our Trafford Centre exhibition!
Also as part of the Youth Day activities we will be delivering an Arts and Crafts workshop (or Craft-A-Noon tea as we like to call it!) at Eccles Youth Centre on August the 14th. For more information on how to get involved in our Craft-A-Noon session please click here!
The Rio Ferdinand Foundation strives to support and develop young people within the community using sports and creative media to build confidence, raise aspirations and develop skills.
