We are Recruiting a new Project Worker in Salford!

The Rio Ferdinand Foundation is looking to recruit a Project Worker, specialising in Employability and Enterprise to support the delivery of the Big Lottery Reaching Communities Fund in Salford however this will develop in to areas across Greater Manchester. Working with partners and young people to implement and help enhance delivery of our sports and arts based social inclusion programme, to develop their employability skills. The role will include meeting and exceeding key performance indicators set out in the project plan.

You will play an important role in the project management and implementation of the Big Lottery Reaching Communities Fund programme.

The central focus of this role involves:

Initiating and maintaining positive relationships with key partners, working with new and existing youth forums and networks to ensure links are made with appropriate agencies to source suitable opportunities for young people into employment/volunteering/work placements.

Supporting the delivery of our peer Leadership Programme, under the direction of the Programme Manager.

Supporting the coordination and delivery of a diverse range of youth projects, which use creative arts, media and sport to engage young people and develop their skills.

Supporting the delivery of opportunities for young people to gain new skills within employment by sourcing and managing relevant opportunities such as work placements, apprenticeships, paid and unpaid employment etc. for the benefit of young people under the guidance of the Programme Manager.

The projects work with young people both male and female predominately between 11 and 25 years of age across the Salford and Manchester areas.

The successful applicant will have key responsibilities around employment and enterprise, face-to-face delivery with young people, programme development, ensuring young people are engaged in projects that are developmental, educational, innovative and meaningful.
