Last week, we visited Oakwood Academy in Eccles to explore youth leadership with the Year 10 sport students and we were thrilled to be joined and supported by Lewis from Reform Radio.

Through games and discussions, the group looked at what skills and qualities a good leader has and designed their own ideal leader.

The group then went on to design their own social action projects relating to sports, arts and media.

Jack Ellis, PE Teacher at Oakwood Academy, said, “A huge thank you for the delivery to our Year 10 Sport Option.

“I really enjoyed observing our students being pushed out of their comfort zones and the way they developed ideas over the two days.

“The delivery was absolutely fantastic and supported the engagement of our young people.”

Students from Oakwood Academy will have the opportunity to take their projects forward as RFF Youth Leaders.
