Rio Ferdinand Foundation kicks off a new partnership with Tedeschi & Partners.
The Rio Ferdinand Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of a new partnership with the international women's football agency, Tedeshi & Partners.
Today's new partnership is dedicated to young females and the football industry. It allows both organisations to work together on projects that promote women's empowerment, leadership and physical and mental health and well-being.
The partnership represents a series of leadership workshops and skills development sessions in communities across the UK and Ireland over the next 12 months. The programme tackles head-on the barriers hindering women's participation and encourages the development of women's football worldwide.
Backed by Tedeschi's worldwide network of 120 women's footballers, the partnership creates opportunities for young females participating in Foundation programmes to learn from Tedeschi and Partners ambassadors, discover their self-confidence and unlock their career goals.
Since 2013, from its offices in Napoli, London, Lisbon, and New York, Tedeschi & Partners have worked hard to develop women's football and forge relationships with likeminded organisations who share their values and believe in equality and the power of sport in inspiring young women to aspire to achieve.
Rio Ferdinand Foundation has a long-standing commitment to, and track record in supporting young women underpinned by the confidence building, empowerment sports and physical activity projects delivered through our Go Girl initiative since 2014 in Manchester and London.
Since 2018 this work has been extended to include mentoring and motivational workshops with female role models, and more recently the development of industry-based seminars and open days to broaden horizons in the sports, music and media industries led by inspirational female speakers.
This relationship with Tedeschi and partners brings added credibility and value to our work with young women in football and sports in the UK and Ireland, helping to demonstrate how women have achieved in their chosen sport. The partnership will also open opportunities for young women on our projects to explore and discuss issues affecting women in sport and careers and opportunities the industry can offer through the eyes of industry insiders.
