Statom Charity Ball raises a staggering £227,500

A star-studded ball in November 2024, adorned with celebrities, raised a staggering £227,500 to drive social mobility and create employability opportunities for young people.

The Rio Ferdinand Foundation was delighted to be named Statom UK’s lead charity for their Celebrity Ball in 2023 and again in 2024. This annual event represents a partnership mutually committed to community enrichment, building networks, and creating pathways for young people.

Following the success of the 2023 event, which raised a staggering £170k for the Rio Ferdinand Foundation and exceeded 300k in total charitable contribution on the night, anticipation mounted, for a sequel.

On 28 November 2024, the illustrious event returned to Grosvenor House, London. While Rio Ferdinand, James Cordon, DJ Spoony, and Sister Sleigh entertained, it was the collective generosity that filled the air and took centre stage.

The Statom Celebrity Ball is an event dedicated to community impact and a true champion of corporate social responsibility. In addition to the support received for the Rio Ferdinand Foundation, a significant amount was raised for other charities. A remarkable event of charitable collaboration.

We were blown away by the support from Statom Group. This unbelievable amount is a significant enabler of our work across the UK and Ireland, helping the Foundation deliver more projects in the most underrepresented communities.

”We are fortunate to have an international network of partners like Statom Group, who not only share our mission to tackle generational inequalities and increase social mobility but also empower young people to recognise their skills and give them the ownership to achieve their goals.”

“Statom’s support has exceeded our expectations; it’s made an unsurmountable difference and we are truly thankful for that.
— Gary Stannett, CEO, Rio Ferdinand Foundation

This week, Tommy, Group Chairman, for Statom joined Rio Ferdinand in a visit to fellow partners Warner Music UK, where a group of young people, received an introduction into careers in the music industry. Just one of the opportunities afforded by the charitable events generosity, and a strategic network of partners.

We take great pride and pleasure in being a partner with the Rio Foundation. Seeing firsthand the difference this foundation makes is truly inspiring. The opportunities and support they provide change so many lives, making all the hard work we do to raise funds truly worthwhile.
— Tommy Brown, Statom Group CEO
The support of Statom and everyone who attended the 2024 celebrity ball is instrumental in helping the Foundation deliver our work with young people in the UK and Ireland.

“It was great to have the opportunity to introduce the Statom team to young people who are benefiting from this donation this week and to see the impact this funding can have.

“I’m looking forward to continuing this partnership and changing lives and creating opportunities in 2025.
