UEFA Foundation for Children

Working collaboratively with UEFA Foundation for Children, we create opportunities, empower communities and power the potential of under represented communities.

As we embark on 2025, we are excited to develop our partnership with UEFA Foundation for children. Working collaboratively for the second time, following the successful delivery of a 3 year partnership ‘Youth in Action.’

The new project ‘Powering Potential’ focuses on employability and enterprise working with Young People from underrepresented communities, delivering programmes that will help them to become leaders in the community.

Powering Potential follows the delivery of the Youth in Action programme on the island of Ireland since 2020, and will deliver a year-round community based football programme, that builds transferable skills, confidence and employability across Northern Ireland and England, as we expand our coverage of our project.

The programme connects young people with industry insiders, careers events and opportunities, powering potential through accredited leadership, coaching, and digital media training.

The Powering Potential programme will:

  •  Deliver a football-based programme building transferrable skills, confidence, employability & social capital of socially excluded YP

  • Provide a host of role models reflective of these communities to inspire/motivate YP to achieve

  • Build network of brands/employers/community orgs offering upstream opportunities i.e., work-based mentoring, careers events & pathways

  • Develop best practice model to attract sustainable mainstream funding for long-term transitional change across our target communities.

Youth in Action

Youth in Action delivered a programme of sports and educational activities, training and accreditation , and created opportunities for young people to be inspired to be heard, and to develop the leadership skills, and tools, they need to tackle inequality in their communities.

Together we will continue to tackle racism and division in England & Ireland by promoting community cohesion and the integration of ethnic minority and migrant communities through sports and education.
